Step #1: Cleansing
Use regular rough gauze with a pure acetone solution.
For damaged or pigmented areas, rub aggressively.
Carefully remove all mascara from lashes so as
not to transmit peel into the eyes.
Step #2: Peeling
On first application of Vi Peel, apply a light
amount of the solution to numb the skin. (Gauze
should be damp, but not drenched.) On subsequent
peels, you may saturate the gauze and apply a
heavier amount of the solution to create a light
frost - especially when targeting specific damaged
or pigmented areas such as melasma. Apply peel
to eyelids last to prevent patient anxiety during
the entire process. If the peel gets into eyes,
use clean, dry gauze pad or cotton swab to wipe
the eyes from one corner to the other.
Step #3: Retin A Night Pads
The Retin A Night Pads are crucial to achieving
maximum results from the Vi Peel System. Prior to
use, the patient should wash with a mild cleanser
and thoroughly dry the skin, and then apply Retin
A to the entire treated area, rubbing aggressively
over any damaged or pigmented skin. Patients should
use the pads one hour before bedtime on the first
and second night. On subsequent applications, Retin
A may be left on skin for a minimum of two hours,
but can be washed off at any time if irritation
occurs.
